Fighting for a Healthier Future Through Education
Combating vector-borne diseases and promoting environmental health through education, research, and advocacy.
Why The Bug
Campaign Exists
Mosquitoes, ticks, and other insects carry diseases that threaten millions worldwide, but prevention and education don’t always reach the people who need them most.
The Bug Campaign was founded to bridge that gap. We work directly with communities most affected by climate, poverty, and public health disparities to increase awareness, share data, and drive collective solutions.
Did you know?
Mosquitoes have caused nearly half of all human deaths in recorded history. (Source: Dr. Timothy C. Winegard, Colorado Mesa University)
80% of the world’s population is at risk of contracting one or more vector-borne diseases every year. (Source: World Health Organization)
Yet global awareness and prevention efforts remain critically underfunded and unevenly distributed.

Our Mission
Empowering Communities Through Science, Data, and Action
At The Bug Campaign, we equip communities with data-driven knowledge to prevent disease and promote environmental health.
Our work centers on education, research, and sustainable local action.
We focus on underserved and under-resourced communities; those most burdened by unsafe living conditions and environmental hazards. Through partnerships, outreach, and open data, we empower people to identify problems, act locally, and protect their future health.
How We Make a Difference
Programs that Educate, Engage, and Empower
Our initiatives combine science and storytelling to inspire community-led change:

Don’t Bug Me – community educational events to provide information and engage in conversation with families about these infectious diseases

The Bug Club – a children’s club to engage kids in learning about the bug critters that share the earth with us

Sharing Nature’s LAW (Land/Air/Water) – the study and reporting of the environmental factors that fuel disease with a view toward local remediation

Data & Reporting – providing updated published news articles and data while also researching new methods to stem disease and remediate environmental causes
